[X&Y Emily] A Sincere Apology (Please Read)

Hello Ladies:

Scot and I have been focusing our thoughts, looking at the trends, and
--yes--reading your e-mails.

As a result, we've decided to make a BIG change.  In fact, you may have
already noticed it over the past couple of weeks.

We're never again going to send you links to any women's dating advice
that involves one of those long slide presentation videos.

And yes, we sincerely apologize for taking so long to stop it.

All of you comprise a wonderfully unique audience.  You're genuine
women with hearts of gold who expect to find a great man of character
and will settle for nothing less.

You understand the meaning of "deserving what you want".

That means you're too virtuous and too wise to buy into "three simple
words that make any man drop everything and commit to you", as
nearly all of those videos seem to promise.

To our dismay, the direction of both men's and women's dating advice
in general has tilted toward extreme narcissistic selfishness and a
total lack of personal responsibility.

That's not how great relationships are built, of course.

On the men's side, it's always been easy to separate the sleazy, pick-up
artist's "get laid quick" message from a more relationship-focused one
that values women.

But the de-evolution of marketing in the women's dating/relationship
advice world has been more subtle over time.

At this point there's no mistaking the reality of it, however.

As breathtaking a concept as it is, it's come to the point where we've
got to draw the line on the women's side also.

So we're out on a limb here.

We're betting the farm that you'll find this a welcome change.  We
trust that you appreciate being respected as women who understand
and acknowledge what works instead of what sells.

Yes, when we find truly cool dating advice from others that we think
you'll love we'll tell you about it...but never if it involves a formulaic
video sales letter.

That way we can take a good look at it and truly understand what we're
showing you.  Since we won't sit through an interminable video
ourselves, we won't expect you to either.

But mostly, you can expect more focused content that's practical and
actionable in the real world.

From there, we're thinking that if you want to go deeper with
personal, 1-on-1 coaching you'll let us know when you're ready.

Here's to a great 2016 full of new and exciting newsletters leading
to better, happier relationships.

And PLEASE, if you welcome these important changes hit "reply"
and let us know!

Please also offer any suggestions or insights that you have.  I'll read
every one of them.
