THIS IS A TOUGH MORNING FOR MALE/FEMALE
RELATIONS
RELATIONS
Hello Ladies, Scot here. A happy Saturday to you.
No matter where you are in the world, I'm sure that by now you've
heard about the audio that surfaced yesterday.
As you know, we really don't talk about politics around here. But
regardless of how you, me or anyone else tends to vote, I want you
to know what I felt compelled to do last night.
On my rather sizable Twitter account and Facebook page, I posted a
solemn reassurance to women everywhere that real "big four" men of
character do NOT talk that way...in public OR private.
The post was mostly in response to a shockingly high number of public
comments in the media passing off the leaked audio as "common locker
room banter" or "what all men say in private anyway".
I also urged men to stand up for themselves if they encounter any
social discourse that paints "all men" in such a negative, boorish light.
Indeed, the message was meant to encourage ANYONE, male or female,
who believes in mutual respect and honor between men and women.
Emily told me how proud of me she was.
And as I'm sure you can imagine, other women everywhere began to
thank me for at least attempting to restore their faith that good men
really are out there.
I knew immediately that I had done the right thing by making a stand.
And yes, there ARE plenty of good men out there.
Ladies, please rest assured that good men do NOT target married women.
What's more, they do not consider themselves entitled to sexual activity
with any (or every) woman regardless of whether she consents or not.
They do not trivialize a woman's humanity, expecting to "get away with"
whatever they want sexually.
And it's not just the men with daughters, sisters, girlfriends and wives
who are as appalled as I am. Many, many men understand how to
honor and respect women regardless of whether there are beloved
women in their lives or not.
A man of character realizes the wonderful, magical value of mutual
desire.
So not only is he above reproach when it comes to sexually assaulting
women, he realizes that even talking or even joking about it openly
demonstrates to the whole world that he has no idea how to relate to
women...and likely fails miserably in his dating life.
So no, high quality men do NOT talk in public or private like what you
heard yesterday.
This is a heavy conversation, I know.
But here's something that may either be coincidental or providential,
depending on how you look at it.
Emily had planned to tell you this morning about yet another free
summit. This time it's one that I was invited to be a part of.
I've "hijacked" her regularly-scheduled newsletter as she sleeps
peacefully (like an angel) in the other room because suddenly it's not just
"another free summit" anymore.
It's called The Great Men Do Exist Summit, and I'm sharing the
stage with 16 other solid men of character, many of whom I know
personally.
If on a morning like this you would LOVE some deeper reassurance that
terrific men are out there (and plentiful) then click this link. Yes, it's
free:

There's nothing to buy or sell here. It's just that this morning in
particular I couldn't feel more honored to have been selected to
participate in an event like this.
Take heart, ladies. Good men--REAL men--do exist.
If this e-mail was of any encouragement to you, then The Great
Men Do Exist Summit just might make you stand up and cheer:

Be Good,
