Five Traits Of Women Who Men Commit To

It has been a great week.  I just became an aunt for the first time.  After six years of marriage my sister and her husband have a beautiful baby girl.

It got me reminiscing to the time when they first met.

Almost seven years ago my brother-in-law was 40 and had never been married before.   He was living a wildly successful dating life.

So how did she endear him to her so completely? 

Why did he decide that he wanted to commit to her?  In other words, why HER and not one of the many other women he dated? 

Are you having trouble getting Mr. Wonderful to want to commit to you?  Are you having trouble getting a man's heart to become endeared to you?

I'm not talking about tricking him into anything but creating in him a desire to want to continue to be with you as a committed couple.

There are a number of things you can do to draw his heart to you.

Here are the five basic traits that you can start cultivating today--as soon as you're done reading about them.  The change in mindset may need to be intentional before it becomes pure habit, but I assure you that the nearly immediate results you see will motivate you deeply:

1.    Love being feminine

Look, act, and speak like a woman.  A man will be attracted to femininity.  If you act like one of the guys then he will see you as nothing more than just "one of the guys". 

So enjoy having your fingernails and toenails pampered at the spa.  Show off your newly painted toes with open-toe dress shoes.  

Put on something with a soft fabric and/or a small ruffle.  Another hint:  He will be curious to know if this is for show during the courtship or if you will stay feminine as you grow older. 

Also, a caveat. Most people think this is "number one" on most guys' "commitment checklist", but it's not.  It helps, but like your appearance in general it cannot be all you depend on if you want more than just short "flings".

2.    Give your approval/support

A man views a quality woman as one who will be by his side to cheer for him.  He wants a woman who will approve of him as a person and who will help him be successful in whatever decision that he makes. 

And if he fails he'll want to know you are still right there with him to comfort him. 

You can demonstrate this quality by not being critical, "nagging" or belittling him.

Let him know how much you enjoy his company.  Let him know how proud you are of his accomplishments. 

Ask yourself if when he is around you he feels like a better and happier person. 

Does he believe that with the two of you together that anything you two set out to do will be splendid?

Men almost universally crave our approval, and when they get it the great ones gladly reciprocate in kind.

3.    Must love men

Man haters tend to attract jerks who love to use women.  Who wants to be around someone who thinks the worst of us without just cause?

No real man--you know, the ones who respect women--will want to put up with that. 

So be optimistic and think the best of the men you meet.  You'll start attracting the high-quality ones as if by magic.  And they will love you for it.

4.    Emotionally stable

Have you ever met someone who was nice one minute and then--SNAP!--one little thing happens and you wonder where the person you met went? 

This is the "Jekyll And Hyde Syndrome". 

A man wants to be with a woman who has some sense about her.  It's amazing how many men have told me that they fear being stuck with a crazy, temperamental or even contentious woman. 

Let him see that you have a level head on your shoulders and that you are not going to go all psycho on him or take him on a seemingly endless (and undesired) ride on an emotional roller coaster.

And, this last one is is arguably THE most important...

5.    Loyal and trustworthy

If he has nothing to commit TO, why WOULD he?  Think about that one for a second. 

If a man senses that you maybe the cheater type he will not want to commit to you.  Flirting with other men in front of your Mr. Wonderful will call into question your trustworthiness.

To help build trust and loyalty, make him look good in front of friends, co-workers and family.

Demonstrate in front of his friends and family that he is fortunate to have you by his side. 

But make sure that he his equally as wonderful as you, and returns those courtesies.

I actually asked my brother-in-law what it was exactly that stopped him in his tracks and made him want my sister in his life forever.

His reply was that my sister was different.  She is sweet, kind, and trusting, someone he can rely on and trust. 

He loved how she believes in him. He said he had never met a woman like that and that he wasn't going to let her slip out of his life.

Interestingly, I asked Scot what his top five would be and his list was almost exactly like the one you just read (in fact, I'll admit it...I 'tweaked' a few things based on what he added to the conversation). 

But regardless, both Scot and my brother-in-law followed a very clear common pattern in their thinking.  

So there may just be something to all of this, y'all!

Can you see yourself winning over Mr. Wonderful's heart? 

Do you believe he will desire to commit to you?

I am telling you:   It is not only POSSIBLE, it's PROBABLE...if your heart is in the right place first.

Start with the above plan. Continue to learn how to meet and wow men and accomplish your personal dating goals.
