THE CURE FOR MALE SEXUAL GUILT

Almost every one of us as men has, at some point or another,
felt ashamed about our sexuality. More specifically, our sexual
interest in a particular woman.

It could be due to how we were raised to think about sex.

Maybe because we've picked up from popular culture
somewhere that "all men are dogs" because they tend to be
sex-focused.

Perhaps you've heard the old wives' tale that "men think about
sex every seven seconds", which attempts to reduce our gender
to overly simplistic animals, if not robots.

And most certainly, the widespread media coverage of sexual
misconduct--almost always by men--has taken its toll on our self-
image.  We all take a punch in the gut whenever heterosexual
men in general are lumped together as a "toxic" entity.

Whatever the reason may be, a lot of us are wrestling with a
very real problem. Inside we're genuinely great guys who feel
our sexuality is a dark and evil force that must be suppressed.

And if for some reason it's ever let out of the cage, there may be
dire consequences...unless, of course, some woman has allowed
herself to be troubled into tolerating its existence.

Seriously, that's how many of us think, either consciously or not.

Pretty sad, isn't it?

OK, so let me take this opportunity to shout a mission-critical
truth from the rooftops:  There is nothing wrong with you if
you happen to be a male human being who values sex.

But rather than simply telling you so and moving on, allow me the
opportunity to give you the gift of proof that what I'm saying is
reality rather than fantasy.

Right here and right now, I'd like to remind you of a rather
stunning reality:  When you get right down to it, you ARE sex.

An act of sexual intercourse conceived you, and the sexual
intercourse you participate in is required in order for the species
to replicate and continue into the future.

Without heterosexual procreation we're extinct 100 years from
now.

In fact, the ONLY thing relevant to the natural order of
reproduction of our kind is...sex.  Nature really couldn't care less
what ELSE you do in this life.

Whether you've ever stopped to think about all of this or not, the
very fact that there are two genders is because of sex.

Those genders are designed to attract each other...sexually.  The
culmination of that attraction is the physical act of sex.

Sure, there are a myriad of ways to enjoy sexual polarity as
sentient, intelligent and complex human beings; but without the
need for sexual intercourse there would be no biological need for
sexual polarity, would there?

So then, since it takes two to do that tango, how in the world can
one gender's inherent sexuality be morally superior to the other?

As I've said before elsewhere, just because "male" and "female" are
sexual opposites doesn't mean that they're opposite in every other
way, like "good" and "bad".

You're male, therefore you represent one side of that "yin/yang"
balance.  There is no value judgment to be made there.

Did you know studies have been done that show the very first thing
you notice about someone else is his or her gender?  It's not race,
height, age or anything else.

Sexuality is at the very center of human existence.

So why fight it or deny it?  If you deny sex, withhold it, are
guilty about it, have bad feelings about it and/or disconnect from
it, you've basically lost your human blueprint.

You were made by sex and designed to make more human beings
with it.  To not embrace that is, in a sense, to cease participation in
humanity.

Your very biological purpose is sexual.  Therefore, to be ashamed
of sex is to be ashamed of yourself...literally.

Hold your head up as a human--and therefore sexual--being.  And
better yet, relax in the notion that without YOU women wouldn't
even have anyone to be horny for.

And rest assured--also thanks to the natural order of things--women
LOVE to be horny and they LOVE to have sex.   It's just too bad
that sometimes they also feel ashamed enough to hide that from you,
lest they be branded a "slut".

That's the true shame, isn't it?
