SURVEY RESULTS:  YOU HAVE SPOKEN

First off, thanks to you for taking the most recent survey I sent out several days ago.  I trust you're enjoying your copy of Highway Game and are putting it to good use.

Here are some of the most interesting results, along with how they’ll affect what you see in the future around here.

1)  Guys of ALL ages are reading these newsletters.  Many of the older guys think I write too much about stuff that only younger guys deal with.  Meanwhile, lots of younger guys think I cater to older guys’ issues too much.  Go figure.

2)  More married guys than I thought are out there.  That’s not unexpected, because this is about so much more than just meeting women.

Remember, you can send a blank e-mail to scotandemily@aweber.com if you want to get only the newsletters that apply to relationships and being a great man

3)  More of you are discovering X & Y Communications through the podcast and the blog than we thought, as that’s not so easy to track by conventional methods.  Expect more attention to both in the future.

4)  It was a virtual dead heat between guys who want the newsletters to be light and entertaining vs. serious and info-driven.  Continuing a balanced approach looks like the way to go.

5)  The OVERWHELMINGLY popular opinion with regard to which other direction X & Y Communications should go in was “Lifestyle For Men”.  Point taken…and we’re already on it.

Many of you wrote-in comments about the travel/adventure part also, so it looks like the cross section of you who are into that are REALLY excited about it.We’ll have BIG news for you on that front soon.

6)  As far as future programs go, how to get a great girlfriend and how to be a bold, fearless man were almost universally given a “thumbs up”.

You were about 70-30% for a program from Emily and I about great LTRs (women are nearly 100% on that one, btw).

Interest in a program on fatherhood was abysmal.

7)  The vote of confidence in starting a mastermind group was astronomical…practically a mandate.  That’ll go on the list of future projects.  Stay tuned.

8)  As predicted, the vast majority of you chose the potential location for a live seminar that’s closest to where you live.  This supports the idea of holding such an event in high population areas like NY, London or LA as opposed to resort destinations like Vega$.  In other words, you probably won’t travel to get there, but you’re in if it’s pretty close to where you live.

That said, interest in Austin was curiously high, which would be a no-brainer for us as San Antonians to perhaps run a “pilot” event there.

9)  Interest in connecting you guys with Emily’s female audience was IMMENSE.  Believe me, the women who “lurk” on this newsletter hammer us on that idea frequently, so the feeling is mutual.  It’s probably time we figured out a clean, drama-free way to make hat happen.

10)  The sections asking about what we should talk more or less about were perhaps unfair because after ten years there’s a LOT of content from us available to you out there.  The major takeaway, however, was how most themes you guys brought up were equally likely to be cited in either section.

11)  The “killer offer” many of you brought up was along the lines of a “buffet” bundle.  That is, a create-your-own kind of deal where you could choose which programs you want.  We’ve actually done this before, but there might be a more streamlined, intuitive way to do it.  I’ve already contacted our shopping cart company about that.

12)  Under the “if you were our consultant” question, the first major recurring theme was fully expected.  You realize as much as we do that our website needs a modern update.  That one’s already in the works.

The second one was VERY interesting, and also something I had started to think about recently.  Lots of you mentioned that it’s time to stop acknowledging the Pickup/Seduction Community completely.  For years I’ve been drawing comparisons/contrasts between that sort of thinking and mine because there were tons of guys signing up for my newsletter who had been influenced by it.  But nowadays, old-school “underground” pickup technique as described in say, The Game is pretty much an extinct dinosaur.  Point acknowledged.

So where do we go from here?

Ultimately, you’re going to see a more polished, evolved and sophisticated presence from us going forward, especially in terms of branding and the overall vibe.

That’s not to say we’re going to follow the douchey “head on a platter” blog graphic convention that’s unfortunately popular nowadays.

But we will clean up the look and the style, all while continuing to bring you everything you need to be the best man you can be and deserve what you want.

And yes, you can expect to start seeing MORE value in MORE areas that we’ll boldly cover for the first time.  Exciting times await…

P.S.  Oh, and you guys like how I feature different women in the banner of every newsletter.  One woman wrote in saying my “male audience” would appreciate more mature women in business suits than cuties in bikinis.  She’s entitled to her opinion.
