I don't know how many times I've heard it: "I'd love to meet
women, but everywhere I go there's only a bunch of other dudes."

Indeed. It seems that way, doesn't it? Well, I believe you aren't
seeing things. The phenomenon actually tends to be 100% true.
A few days ago this topic came up in a conversation I was having,
and the disarmingly simple answer to this age-old dilemma suddenly
occurred to me.
It's because men and women like to do different things.
So when we are out doing what we like to do the most, we are
generally around other members of the same gender.
That's all there is to it. It's that simple.
So, if you want to meet more women, you are going to have to leave
your "comfort/familiarity zone".
If you keep going where you've always gone, you'll keep seeing who
you've always seen: more guys.
So far you may be shaking your head thinking, "Somebody please wake
this guy up. We've already thought of this years ago."
OK granted, you may admire my "firm grasp of the obvious" all you
want. But let's not hurt the feelings of those who hadn't figured
it out until they read this newsletter, capice?
Nevertheless, in the ongoing interest of keeping everyone's brain
cells engaged, here's an added twist: Have you ever considered
what the real-life ramifications are when you actually venture into
the Realm Of Women?
Well, continuing the theme of being "obvious", you find yourself
with A LOT more options than if you would have played it "safe" as
usual in his or her own world.
"Plus one" for not "playing it safe", Mr. Nice Guy.
But there's more. Something amazing happens.
Assuming that you keep your masculine composure, you may actually
become EVEN MORE ATTRACTIVE to women when you venture into
territory where women vastly outnumber you.
Why is this? It's because confidence is sexy, first of all. And
it takes inherent confidence to boldly enter into what's mostly a
woman's domain.
But second, your masculinity stands out more clearly then ever when
surrounded by femininity. It's as if it's MAGNIFIED.
So let's consider a few specific situations. Ready?
1) The Mall
Men generally do not like to shop--especially for fun. But if men
like to meet women for fun, they should probably spend some time
where the women are. This would be the prime spot.
2) Dance Classes
A lot of women love to dance. A lot of men do not love to dance.
And a lot of men should get over it, especially since a man taking
salsa lessons tends to have the same effect on a woman that she
would on us were she wearing a set motocross leathers and holding a
helmet.
3) Cooking Classes
Guys who take cooking classes hit paydirt on two different levels.
First, they are going where the women are.
Second, if they succeed at actually learning something, they then
have the additional benefit of being able to invite the women they
meet over for dinner.
That works out well, doesn't it?
By the way, if any of you reading this still think cooking is for
sissies, go watch Food Network for a while. There are some real
men on that channel.
Yeah, and...um...until you figure this part out, you are going to be
stuck eating pre-packaged, salty, processed crap and fast food your
entire life.
Even if you can subsist off of Subway like Jared, there's only so
much variety on the menu, if you get my drift.
4) The Supermarket
This is kind of weird because you'd think that everyone has to eat,
male or female. Your second thought may be that if there ARE more
women at the supermarket than men, it's because they're all married
housewives.
Well, I've done some informal observation lately just to check
myself here. There really are more single women than single guys
at the supermarket at just about any given time.
Maybe it's because women like to shop more. Maybe it's because we
dudes tend to take far less time to do our shopping (actually,
that's a fact).
Or maybe--again--it's because we as guys grab take-out more often
because we're kitchen-phobic.
Who cares why, really? The point is that the ratio is in your
favor--and it's not even really close.
You know, I personally believe that the excuse of not being able to
meet MOTOS because there only seems to be men everywhere is just
that...an excuse.
While I fully understand that bars are not necessarily the best
place to deserve what you want, there really are some places where
women outnumber men--and others where both genders have equal
opportunity.
