The whole idea of "men's rights" seems tricky, doesn't it?

But why is that?  And how come so many of us are taking a
seat and doing what we're told by a small minority of Feminists?

Notice that I capitalized "Feminist".

According to a 2015 Vox poll, only 18% of American respondents
identified themselves as "feminists".

Yet, 85% said they believe in "equality for women".

Check it out, though.  According to Dictionary.com, this is the
definition of "feminism":
 

[fem-uh-niz-uh m]

noun

1. the doctrine advocating social, political, and all other
rights of women equal to those of men.

2. (sometimes initial capital letter) an organized movement
for the attainment of such rights for women.

Clearly, it's Feminism rather than feminism that has, for lack of a
better description, a branding issue.

The mental image we get when confronted with the "initial capital
letter" version is undeniable.  Most of us as guys brace ourselves
for a lose/lose scenario.

Men everywhere have therefore been put on the defensive against
Feminists...even as most of us agree with the dictionary definition
of feminism.

Confused yet?

Frustrated, even?

There's a glaring black hole out there.  Nobody appears to be willing
or able to stand up for our rights as men without simultaneously
taking a defensive stance against women.

Some who advocate men's rights even position themselves as
full-on antagonists toward women.

But wait a minute...falling for that makes us no better than the man-
bashing Feminists who frustrate us.

Plus, it's not exactly "masculine leadership" to be reactive rather than
proactive, now is it?

It all makes about as much sense as a dog chasing its tail.

Well, I'm going to be the guy who stands in the gap for you.

I firmly believe you can and should stand up and defend your rights
and privileges as a man...AND defend the virtue of masculinity itself.

Yet I ALSO believe you can and should value and respect women,
knowing that the vast majority of them aren't part of the problem.

In other words, "F-" the "capital F".

Be a "big four" man for women, yet stand strong for the truth that if
"women's rights are human rights" then "men's rights" darned skippy
are as well.

It's all about simple, common sense...without all the drama and
animosity.

As evidence that I'm on to something here (as if you needed proof),

Yes, you read that correctly.  Don't let that fry your circuits too much.
