HELP FOR HAITI...OUR CHALLENGE TO YOU
Ever since the catastrophic earthquake hit Haiti on January 12th and
the devastating images began to cross all of our television screens,
Emily and I have been considering what we could do--above and beyond
the obvious gesture of opening our own checkbooks--to help encourage
and challenge everyone we know to donate to the cause as well.

The solution has finally occurred to us.
While some companies have pledged to donate proceeds from items sold
to Haitian relief, we realize that in such cases there's always a bit of a
question as to when as to when, where and even *if* the charity funds will
be applied as promised.
So in the interest of total accountability, here's what we are doing instead.
Simply donate $27, $37, $47 or even $97 to the organization you trust
to make the most positive and productive difference in Haiti and we'll
So in the interest of total accountability, here's what we are doing instead.
Simply donate $27, $37, $47 or even $97 to the organization you trust
to make the most positive and productive difference in Haiti and we'll
gladly give you our product of your choice that equals the amount of your
gift.
For example, donate $27 and receive whichever e-book or program
For example, donate $27 and receive whichever e-book or program
you'd like that goes for $27 in the X & Y Communications Store.
That way, your badly needed funds go directly to the charity of
your choice, and you are assured that YES...100% of the "proceeds"
from the e-book or program you chose indeed went to the relief effort.
It seems like a pretty obvious plan when you think about it, right?
So here's what to do:
1) Donate the amount you feel is right for you to the Haitian
relief charity of your choice.
2) E-mail the receipt from your donation to:
scotandemily@scotandemily.com
3) Let us know which e-book or program corresponding to your
donation amount you'd like us to give you. If you'd like to review
the choices, visit the store here:

4) As we're away at the iDate conference even as we speak, please
allow until Tuesday at the latest for us to process your request.
If you've ALREADY contributed previously to the Haitian relief
effort, then you absolutely can send us your receipt and we'll honor
that also.
By the way, if you're looking for a solid organization to donate to,
Emily and I recommend the U.S. UNICEF Haitian Relief Fund. We've
found the plight of Haitian children to be the most compelling and
heartbreaking of all.
UNICEF is not only devoted to aiding primarily children, they've also
received separate, private funding that covers all of their admin
expenses. This means the maximum percentage of your donation will
go directly to Haitian children. Here's the link:

If you are an NBA fan, that's the same organization that Haitian NBA
player Samuel Dalembert has been recommending as well.
Follow your heart on this, everyone. For the vast majority of us,
life is very, very good. Meanwhile, Haiti just seems to get hit with
hardship over and over again. This earthquake meant unspeakable
tragedy to a country already enduring hardship at crisis levels.
Reach out.
Be Good,
Scot McKay
